This project was a great experience as it gives us opportunities to explore other civilisation and also improve on our Internet skills. It also shows the spirit of teamwork and cooperation. Although there were some difficulties, we managed to face it by putting our heads together.
It also strengthen the bong between us friends.

Reflections on Shang Civilisation
Two group of villages, Yangshao and Longshan existed and these caused the rise of the Shang Civilisation. It was once considered a myth but archaeologists discovered that the civilisation was spread over the whole of the Yellow River.
Features
The 3 main features are government occupation and writing. Ancient records states that the Shang Civilisation was ruled by kings from the same family line thus forming a dynasty.
The Shang people occupation were mostly farmers, traders, priests and craftmens.
The form of writing then was a script. It was called pictographic writing and they later developed into the Chinese characters used today.
Oracle bones
It was used by priest to tell the future. Usually bones come from sheep of cows.
Fall of the dynasty
Shang king was killed. The dynasty that came next was the Western Zhou Dynasty

Reflections on Indus Valley Civilisation
The Indus Valley Civilisation was the first Indian civilisation. The 3 main features are government, occupation and writing.
Due to the well-planned architectural design, it can be concluded that the Indus Valley Civilisation had an efficient government. Some examples are the granary for storing food, a citadel to take shelter if an enemy attacked and also The Great Bath for religious purposes.
As food is essential, the occupation were mostly farmers. Utensils, bronze tools and other artefacts found shows that there were craftmens at that time. As The Great Bath was used for religious purposes, it was concluded that there was priest to conduct the ceremony.
Archaeologists have found stone seals with writings which shows that this is their form of writing. It was used as a form of identification. However, nobody can read the meanings of the stone seals.

Decline
Floods was one of the reasons why Indus Valley Civilisation declined. Due to this floods, mosquitoes have bred which caused the outbreak of malaria. It was also the cause of the invasion of the Aryans.

Reflections on Religion & Philosophy
1) In a country in Singapore which is multi-religious, what are the possible challenge we might face? How can we overcome these challenges?
Ans: If there are more foreigners coming to Singapore, it may be quite difficult if we need to built their place of worship as Singapore is a very small country. I think one way to overcome this is to reclaim land from the sea
2) How was religion & philosophies important to the people of the ancient civilisations?
Ans: They believed that there is a God and they know that they must worship God as he is the one who plans everything for them. For example giving them signs that this shows that this person may not be a good emperor. This is an example in ancient China.

Government & Society of ancient civilisation:)
1) What were the similarities between the government and society of the 3 ancient civilisations?
Ans: All 3 government had the ruling class on the top of the pyramid.
2) What were the differences between the government and society of the 3 ancient civilisation?
Ans: Southeast Asia had a better ruling system as the feudalism is not really as bad as those in China. The ways they divide their jobs are also different in a way some put traders on the lower part of the pyramid.
How similar or different are their systems with Singapore?
Ans: The system is way different as Singapore system is more modernised and better as there is no feudalism in the system. This helps the people a lot as the food and money can be used for their own expenses instead of giving them to the government.

Reflections
I think the important factors is that at the beginning of a dynasty, the emperor should be a one that cares for his people and want the best for them by providing with whatever they need. They also need to be understanding and patient as sometime building a dynasty is a bit task.
I think that would probably be people who wants to be emperor and would do what ever i takes even if it means killing the emperor or the emperor's son. It could also be that the emperor was very rash in making a decision that led to the downfall.
